Welcome to PNW Reptile Bites. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making any purchases or using our site.
Note: These terms apply to all transactions made through our website, social media platforms, or in-person at expos and events.
1. General Terms
Eligibility: By using this site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have obtained the consent of a legal guardian.
Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for all activities that occur under your account.
2. Product Information
Live Feeder Insects: We strive to ensure the highest quality of live feeder insects including, but not limited to, Dubia roaches, hornworms, mealworms, and superworms.
Availability: Product availability is subject to change without notice. We cannot guarantee the availability of all items at all times due to breeding cycles and demand.
Care Instructions: It is your responsibility to understand the care requirements of the insects and reptiles you are purchasing for, including the conditions in which the feeders need to be kept.
3. Shipping & Delivery
Shipping Schedule:
Live Feeder Insects: Shipped Monday through Wednesday to ensure safe delivery and avoid weekend delays. Orders placed after Wednesday will be shipped the following week.
Frozen Feeders: Shipped separately from live insects due to special packaging and handling requirements.
Chameleons & Geckos or Other Live Animals (Sold as Pets): Shipped on a case-by-case basis, with scheduling coordinated to ensure the safest transit conditions.
Live Arrival Guarantee
Feeder Insects:
We guarantee live arrival on all feeder insect orders when shipped with proper packaging and within safe temperature ranges (typically 40°F–85°F). You must be present to receive the package. DOA claims must be submitted within 1 hour of delivery with photo evidence.
Chameleons, Geckos, and Other Live Animals (Sold as Pets):
We guarantee live arrival on all pet reptile shipments (including chameleons, geckos, and similar live animals) when shipped overnight under safe conditions and received in person.
Any DOA (Dead on Arrival) claims must be made within 1 hour of delivery with clear photo or video documentation.
A 72-hour health guarantee applies provided proper husbandry is followed and the animal is housed in a suitable environment.
⚠️ This guarantee is void if we determine that illness, injury, or death resulted from improper care, inadequate housing, or mistreatment after delivery. We may request photos of the enclosure and setup to verify conditions.
In cases of suspected neglect or abuse, we reserve the right to deny future sales and may report the situation to appropriate animal welfare authorities.
Weather Conditions:
We do not guarantee live arrival if temperatures in the shipping or destination location fall below 32°F (freezing) or rise above 85°F during transit. Extreme temperatures can cause stress or fatal conditions for live insects, chameleons, and geckos.
To help ensure safe delivery:
Someone must be available to receive the package immediately upon arrival to prevent exposure to extreme temperatures.
For cold weather (below 50°F): Heat packs may be included in shipments at our discretion.
For hot weather (above 80°F): Shipments may be delayed until temperatures are safer.
We reserve the right to delay or modify shipping schedules due to weather concerns to protect live animals and insects.
Hold for Pickup Option: To avoid exposure to extreme temperatures, we strongly recommend holding live shipments for pickup at your nearest USPS or FedEx facility. If you prefer this option, please request it at checkout or contact us before shipping.
🚨 Frozen Feeder Orders: Should be promptly transferred to a freezer upon arrival to maintain quality.
We appreciate your understanding, as our priority is the safety and well-being of your feeders and reptiles. If you have any concerns about weather conditions in your area, please contact us before placing an order.
Shipping Costs: Shipping fees are non-refundable and are calculated at checkout. Any additional shipping charges due to location or special requirements will be added to your final balance.
Live Feeder Insects: Fixed-rate shipping applies.
Frozen Feeders:
Washington & Oregon addresses: Flat-rate shipping applies.
All other U.S. addresses: A separate fixed shipping rate applies.
Chameleons, Geckos and Other Live Animals (Sold as Pets): Fixed-rate shipping applies and includes overnight delivery to ensure the animal’s safety.

We offer local meet-up and free pickup options by appointment only.
4. Chameleon, Geckos and Other Live Animals (Sold as Pets) Live Pet Return Policy
Gender Identification:
Chameleons, geckos, and other live animals sold as pets may be listed as "male," "female," or "unsexed." When identified as male or female, we use visual traits and breeding experience to make the best determination possible at the time of sale.
Please note that gender identification is not guaranteed for animals under 6 months of age, due to natural variation in development.
If you believe a misidentification has occurred, you must notify us within 14 calendar days of receiving the animal and provide clear photos for evaluation. We may request documentation from a licensed exotic veterinarian to support gender reassessment.
If a misidentification is confirmed, the following options may be offered (based on availability and seller discretion):
Exchange for a live animal of the correct gender
Store credit toward a future chameleon or gecko
Refund, minus a 25% restocking fee
Return Conditions:
Return shipping must be arranged through an approved live animal shipping service (e.g., Reptiles2You, ShipYourReptiles).
Buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs. Shipping fees are non-refundable.
Returned animals must be shipped safely and in good health to be eligible for refund or exchange.
Refunds are only issued after a 10-day health observation period upon return.
⚠️ Failure to meet these return conditions will void the refund or exchange offer.
In the event that illness, injury, or death is suspected to be caused by improper care, inadequate housing, or mishandling, we reserve the right to deny refunds and may request photos or other documentation to evaluate the husbandry.
In cases of suspected abuse or neglect, we reserve the right to deny future sales and may report the matter to local or state animal welfare authorities.
Note: All live reptile sales are considered final once delivered and accepted. Refunds are not issued for buyer remorse, husbandry mistakes, or changes in personal circumstance.
5. Dry Goods Return Policy
We accept returns on dry goods—such as packaged chow, dry media, or supplies—within 14 days of delivery, provided the items are unopened, unused, and in original condition. Customers are responsible for return shipping. Refunds will be issued once the returned product has been received and inspected.
This policy does not apply to live insects, frozen feeders, or reptiles.
6. Pricing and Payments
Prices: All prices listed on the site are in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice.
Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards, PayPal, and other approved payment methods. Full payment is required at the time of purchase.
Refunds: Due to the nature of our live products, all sales are final. Refunds or replacements will only be issued in the case of DOA insects, with proof provided within the required time frame (see Shipping & Delivery section).
7. Liability and Risk
Risk of Loss: Once the insects leave our facility and are shipped, the risk of loss is transferred to the buyer. We are not liable for delays or losses caused by third-party shipping providers.
Pet Safety: It is your responsibility to ensure the feeders you purchase are appropriate for your pets and that they are fed properly.
8. Order Cancellations and Changes
Order Changes: Any changes to an order must be made within 24 hours of purchase. Once the order has been processed or shipped, changes may not be possible.
Cancellations: Orders can be canceled within 24 hours of placement for a full refund. After this period, cancellations are not permitted due to the perishable nature of the products.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the website, including but not limited to text, graphics, images, and logos, is the property of PNW Reptile Bites. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without our prior written consent.
10. Privacy Policy
Your personal information will be handled according to our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service and any transactions made through our website are governed by the laws of the state of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
12. Changes to the Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our site and services constitutes your acceptance of any changes.
